Perfect Mini-moon in the Briagha suite ! We booked the gorgeous Briagha Suite for a couple of days for our mini-moon as a last minute getaway after our wedding, the photos online don’t do it justice ! The suite is beautiful-hence its name. We were blown away with the charm of the hotel itself, the wonderful staff who are so friendly and attentive. We also enjoyed breakfast and dinner at the hotel and it was delicious ! We had a wonderful stay and look forward to booking again for spring next year when we’ll be returning to attend a wedding nearby. We can’t wait to stay again and get to enjoy the beauty and comfort of another one of their charming themed rooms. Thank you for providing a perfect mini-moon experience for myself and my Husband.

Best Hotel I cannot fault Abbotsford Hotel. We were given a warm welcome from Frances’s who immediately made us feel at home. We were shown out gorgeous room. The attention to detail was second to none (each room has different themes) we had dinner in the bar, where the fire was blazing and the food delicious. The staff was very attentive. We were lucky to join in on quiz night hosted by Ian (who was very entertaining) The breakfast menu was difficult to choose from as had so many delicious options and didn’t disappointed. Mary the waitress was cheery and friendly and again attentive. I would highly recommend the whole experience. The value for money is definitely the best you will get. We will be back

Excellent, will be back This is a great hotel with an incredibly warm and welcoming atmosphere. The rooms are spotless and very comfortable. Only gripe about the whole stay was the strength of water pressure in shower. The bar is just fantastic, one of the best barmen running it the two nights i was there (english chap from Blackburn). He really is a huge asset to the hotel. Breakfast was lovely, everything fresh and piping hot. Was even shown to my room on arrival. Had to stay here out of necessity but it really is a gem of a place at a very resonable price when you consider the size of the breakfast you get! Will 100% come back here. The atmosphere, made by the staff, is rare to find

Enjoyable stay From the moment we arrived we could not have been made to feel more welcome. Mary and her staff were fantastic, warm and friendly. Zach working the bar was superb. Friendly but not too casual. Our room was comfortable and very well decorated. And the food was so good we didn’t have dinner anywhere else. The steak pie and fish and chips were both excellent. The location is excellent, just far enough from the town center to mean it is quiet but very convenient

Enjoyable stay! We had a fantastic overnight stay at The Abbotsford to celebrate a birthday, and from the moment we arrived, we were really impressed with the hotel. The hotel itself, along with the surrounding grounds, is beautiful, welcoming and has a lovely atmosphere. Our room was absolutely gorgeous and one of the highlights of the stay. I really liked how they had incorporated the character and natural surroundings of the area while still keeping the room feeling modern, comfortable and stylish. The bar area was also brilliant, with a great atmosphere and a really good selection of drinks available. It was the perfect place to relax and enjoy a few drinks during our stay. Breakfast the following morning was another highlight. I opted for the full breakfast, and everything was cooked perfectly and tasted delicious. My partner went for the pancake stack with fruit and Biscoff sauce, which looked fantastic and tasted even better! Overall, we had a wonderful stay at The Abbotsford. The beautiful surroundings, lovely room, great bar and delicious breakfast made it a really enjoyable birthday getaway. We would definitely recommend it and would happily stay again!

Perfect Scottish Getaway This hotel has become my favorite place to stay in Scotland. This was my second visit here and I know I will be back. It is hard to describe the charm of the rooms and shared spaces. Beautifully decorated and yet the rooms still feel comfortable. The bar is a fun place to spend time anytime during the day and night. It seems popular with the locals as well. Most importantly, the staff is incredible! So helpful, kind and accommodating. This is truly a special place.

A great experience! We recently held our wedding party at this lovely, homely hotel. The rooms are all charming and individually themed, the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful and the food was excellent. Highly recommended!
